The light of the stage. The intimacy of your story.

You want your wedding to feel relaxed and real: no stiff poses, no endless line-ups, just the two of you, free to enjoy it.

I spent three years photographing live theater, and I bring that same eye to your day.
I stay in the background, catch what really happens between you, and turn it into an elegant, timeless story.

Behind the camera

Christophe Fassi

I call my style Elegant Documentary. Timeless, refined pictures for couples who care even more about being free to enjoy the day. A real burst of laughter will always beat a perfectly posed shot.

I learned it in three years of theater, shooting from the wings. Live performance never goes to plan, so you work with whatever light you're given, read emotion before it peaks, and get the shot without ever stopping the show. Weddings are the same: I sense the moments coming and stay out of the way.

Every photo is edited by hand, every shot of your film framed with a cinematic eye. And I'm fully bilingual, so English or French, with you or your guests, it all comes just as naturally.

Photography began as a parallel career, alongside 18 years at Fidelity International working in English with American and British colleagues, and a hotel background that took me from the Lutetia and the Crillon in Paris to Marriott in San Antonio, Texas. Both taught me the same thing: a clear contract, a quick reply and zero surprises matter almost as much as the pictures.

When I'm not at weddings, I photograph and film for businesses around Paris: corporate photography and film.

“The best compliment I can get? ‘We forgot you were even there.’ You get to live your day, and years later, you look back and feel it all over again.”

Two Ways of Seeing

Film,
Without the Film Crew

Maybe you'd love to hear that catch in each other's voices during the vows again, or relive the moment the dance floor went wild.
You want the magic of film, but not a crew following you around all day.

You want to be with your guests, relaxed and fully present. That's why I bring fine art photography and documentary film together, seamlessly.

One artist, one quiet presence, one vision for both your photos and your film.

One Eye, Not a Film Crew

One artist behind both your photos and your film, helped by a discreet lighting assistant. Never a crew of strangers with rigs and booms. You have room to breathe, and your memories stay genuinely spontaneous.

One Look, Start to Finish

Same eye, same color grade. Your photos and your film tell your story with the same bright, editorial look.

Sound Matters

Pictures freeze time; sound brings it back to life. I record from several sources (vows, live music, laughter) and carefully sync it all in post-production with studio-quality music tracks, so every word comes through crystal clear.

How we work together

From First Hello to Final Gallery

1. Let's Talk

A first chat over coffee, or on a video call wherever you are in the world, in English or French, whichever you prefer.
It's about hearing your story and what you're hoping for, and making sure we're on the same page creatively.

2. The Planning

We look at your venue, talk about light and fine-tune the timeline together. You send me the running order for the day, so I'm ready for every key moment.

3. The Big Day

Letting someone into such a personal day takes real trust. You want someone calm and reassuring, who goes with the flow of your day. Working year-round as an event and reportage photographer means very little throws me.
However fast things move, I blend in.
I capture what matters, calmly and quietly, so you always have a steady presence by your side.

4. The Reveal

Your story, carefully edited. You receive a beautiful online gallery and the cinematic film of your wedding, and, if you like, a fine art album made to last for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't live in France. Can we legally get married here?
Yes, but French law has one important condition: a legal marriage has to take place at the town hall (mairie), and one of you, or one of your parents, must have lived in that town for at least a month beforehand. That's why many couples from abroad do the legal part at home, then hold a symbolic ceremony in France, led by a celebrant, at the château or venue of their choice. I photograph and film both, and I'm happy to talk you through it when we chat. For your specific situation, the town hall or your celebrant will confirm the exact requirements.
Will you speak English with our guests on the day?
Of course. I'm fully bilingual, so I can chat with your guests, round everyone up for a group photo, or deal with your French venue and suppliers in either language. For mixed families, it means nobody feels left out.
We feel awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?
Almost everyone says that, and it's completely normal. You want to enjoy your day without thinking about the camera, and still know you'll look your best. So I guide you gently: I steer you toward the most flattering light and suggest simple, natural moments that feel like you. You enjoy yourselves; I capture an editorial look with emotions that are entirely your own.
How many photos will we get, and when?
It's not about photographing everything; it's about making you feel something. Quality over quantity: for a full day, I select and edit between 250 and 500 of the moments that matter most. Your private gallery will be ready within 3 to 4 weeks.
How does booking work?
It all starts with a chat, over coffee or on a video call wherever you are, so we can get to know each other and make sure my approach is right for you. If it feels right on both sides, your date is secured once the contract is signed and the deposit paid. Everything is done online, in English, and prices are in euros.
See 8 more questions
How do you handle light for couples with different skin tones?
You want both of you to look your best, side by side. Years of working with tricky stage and event lighting mean I get the balance right in camera, then fine-tune it when I edit your images. Whatever your skin tones, you'll both look radiant and natural.
How do you manage both photo and film at the same time?
You want the timeless power of photography and the energy of film, without missing a single moment. My gear lets me switch from stills to video in a split second. One moment I'm freezing a burst of laughter in a photo, the next I'm filming the sweep of your first dance, so your story is told in full.
Will our film include sound, like our vows and the toasts?
So much of a memory lives in a tone of voice or a shared laugh. To let you relive your day in full, I record all the sound that matters. With discreet microphones, your film captures every word, like a time capsule you can step right back into.
How do you handle the music in our film?
Every wedding has its own soundtrack: a string quartet during the vows, a jazz band during cocktail hour, your DJ's set later on.

To capture that atmosphere faithfully, I record continuously from several sound sources.

In post-production, I carefully blend the real sound from your day with high-quality music tracks you've chosen. Your film is made for private viewing and for sharing with the people close to you, so you can feel it all again.
What if the day runs behind schedule?
On the day, the only thing you should be thinking about is enjoying it, not checking the time. Weddings have a rhythm of their own, so I stay completely flexible. If the first dance runs a little late, don't worry: I adapt, and I'll tell your story right to the end.
Do you travel outside the Paris region?
Yes. You've chosen your venue with care, and you want every detail of it to shine. Years of corporate and event work in grand venues have given me a sharp eye for architecture. Based just outside Paris, I work with the same care across Île-de-France, in Champagne, and wherever your wedding takes you.
Do you edit every photo?
Yes, every single image is edited by hand. I adjust color, contrast and light to give you the bright, editorial, timeless look I'm known for.

Real, not staged: you want memories that are true to what you felt. That's why my approach is about honoring what really happened. The light, the knowing looks and the tears you see in my portfolio are real emotions, captured as they happened.
Do you offer black-and-white photos?
Yes. Black and white is timeless by nature. When I edit, I carefully pick the moments that suit it best. Your final gallery will mix soft, natural color with black-and-white images worthy of a fashion magazine.

Every story deserves to be beautifully told.

So that every couple gets my full attention, I only take on seven weddings a year.
